June production Read Through evening

We are holding a read through evening for our June production on Wednesday February 6th at 7.30pm.

If you are interested in taking a part please come along, If you are interested but can't attend on that day PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP. If you don't come to the read through and haven't let us know that you're interested it will be assumed you don't want to be involved with this one.

The venue is the Common Room at the Derby Homes complex in Acorn Close in Shelton Lock. This is the Close immediately before the petrol station on the main road going out of Derby, just opposite the chip shop on the corner of Weston Park Avenue.

The Common Room is the second building on the left in Acorn Close, the first is a house, the second is a single storey building and this is the Common Room. Parking bays are for residents' use only so please park at the kerb or use the car park outside the chip shop.

At the moment a final decision hasn't been made regarding what play we're going to stage, it will be either a full-length play or two one-act plays. Whichever way we go it/they will be a comedy/comedies. The final decision will be made once we know who is available and committed to taking part. The director will be Phil Muir (who directed our recent success, The Opposite Sex).

Auditions will take place the following week, with rehearsals starting on February 19th. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7.30 to 9pm.

Shows will take place w/c 3rd June. You MUST be available every evening that week for rehearsals and shows.

Potential new members - we have had approaches from a number of potential new people, if you are one of these please don't be shy, please come along - we're very friendly! You will be made very welcome. You do need to be aware that if you are cast in the play you will need to become a full member of the Company (for insurance purposes) at a cost of £10 per annum.
